Arts Mission

Stone Academy’s arts education mission is to provide a high quality, standards-based arts and arts- integrated education for all students.

Arts Vision

Stone Academy’s arts education vision is to be a leader in arts education and arts integration, promoting student engagement and achievement and preparing students for the future.

Arts Goals

• Teachers will be provided high quality professional development opportunities that promote reflection and increase teacher proficiency in arts integration while developing teacher leaders through the arts.
• Students will engage in a variety of arts-based experiences that build an appreciation for all art forms while furthering an understanding of core curriculum.
• Stone Academy will develop community partnerships that promote student connections, family engagement, and public support of both the school and the arts.

Points of Pride

• Stone is consistently rated excellent on state report cards and one of the top performing schools in Greenville County, and we attribute that to our approach to learning through arts integration.
• We have a highly skilled faculty trained in arts integration and arts-based curriculums, and every teacher is expected to teach through the arts. We also have very low turnover of our staff.
• Stone offers related arts classes above and beyond those typically offered – they are visual art, dance, music, theatre, and strings.
