Mission & Vision
All students at Sanders-Clyde will have exposure to the arts through daily arts classes in the areas of Visual Art, Music, Dance, Theatre and STEAM as well as arts-integrated and arts-infused lessons in the classroom. Sanders-Clyde Creative Arts school will provide a variety of arts programs for all students and integrate arts education as a vital part of the academic curriculum. Students will experience the arts throughout the day as part of their regular learning experience.
Arts Goals
- To create and implement a staff development plan that strengthens teachers’ knowledge of arts integration and the SC College and Career Ready standards for Visual & Performing Arts
- Develop and implement arts curricula and experiences to broaden students’ knowledge of and experience of the arts.
- Develop a plan for support of arts education from parents and community members.
Points of Pride
- Scholars receive instruction in Dance, Music, Strings, Theatre and Visual Arts taught by highly qualified arts educators.
- Periods for collaboration and co-teaching between grade level and arts educators are built into the school’s master schedule.
