Blythewood is a suburb on the northeast side of Columbia, South Carolina and includes a mix of neighborhood and rural living. Certified arts instructors provide dance, music and visual arts to every student in the school. Dance instruction is also available after school. Our teachers provide integrated arts within their classroom instruction, helping students see that art connects to all areas of life. Students are immersed in the arts the moment they step onto campus. Music greets students in the car rider line, the walls are painted with scenes depicting South Carolina and Aviation history, music plays during lunchtime, and there are art displays in the hallway. Each year the yearbook front and back cover are illustrated by students. Art is truly a way of life at Round Top Elementary.
