Mission & Vision
Round Top Elementary will, in collaboration with all stakeholders, provide premier, culturally diverse, integrated arts education opportunities that empower students to become creative, lifelong learners and divergent thinkers. Arts integration provides students with the foundation to create, perform, respond, and connect by individual and collaborative means as a way to strengthen and enrich a community of learners.
Arts Goals
- We will provide materials, equipment, instructors, and facilities for a comprehensive arts program.
- We will provide arts related professional development opportunities to all teachers on a regular basis.
- We will increase our advocacy for the arts by informing and engaging the school faculty, staff, alumni, students, parents, and community.
- We will provide students with historically and culturally diverse, rich and authentic art experiences.
- We will use the arts to improve student’s emotional intelligence, self-awareness and healthy means of self-expression through lessons, artists and events.
Points of Pride
- We are one of only two elementary schools in the district to have dance as part of our related arts rotation.
- In 2022, we had almost an entirely new team working on our ABC recertification.
- We are proud of emerging from the pandemic with completely new arts teachers.
