Mission & Vision
To significantly improve student achievement in dance, media arts, theatre, music, and visual arts through development of curriculum, instruction, and assessment based on the South Carolina College and Career Ready Standards for Arts Proficiency. All students will have access to a premier arts program, including opportunities to showcase their art, participate as global citizens, and foster a passion that continues into adulthood.
Arts Goals
- To create curricula, instruction, and assessment strategies with an emphasis on skills and technology that incorporate AVID strategies.
- To encourage the pursuit and appreciation of the arts in a post high school environment.
- To provide a safe and appropriate learning space.
- To maintain and improve physical, financial, and personnel resources necessary for teaching and learning in the arts.
- To develop opportunities for collaboration among students, teachers, and community members within the Fine Arts as well as other disciplines.
