Arts Mission

Beaufort Elementary School aims to promote academic growth using standards-based arts integration to open minds and hearts to new ideas, problem solving techniques, and promote well-being as we encourage students to be creative, independent thinkers.

Arts Vision

Beaufort Elementary School envisions our community of diverse learners immersed in arts-integrated experiences through cross-curricular and collaborative practices.

Arts Goals

• Beaufort Elementary School will purposefully integrate the arts across content areas to improve students’ academic and artistic achievement.
• Beaufort Elementary School will develop intentional partnerships with community members, local businesses and artists, and parents to offer multiple opportunities for arts exposure, integration, and development.
• Beaufort Elementary School will strategically and purposefully plan opportunities to foster a sense of value for all art forms.

Points of Pride

• As a school, we strive to better understand and embrace the area around us. We do this through field trips and experiences in the classroom. We partner with local museums, USCB, and the Conroy Literacy center to showcase learning and student work.
• We created a Parents as Teachers volunteer program. After giving a quick survey to our parents about unique talents, skills, work, creative projects, our parent liaison reaches out to schedule the parents to come in to work with different grade levels and share their craft. We have had a face painter, a sculptor, and others come in to work with students.
