Mission & Vision
The Arts Education mission at Lady’s Island Middle School is for all students to experience quality content learning through the arts and use it to understand the local culture and expand positive school culture and build connections throughout the school and community. Lady’s Island Middle School will be identified as an exemplary middle school that provides students with intentional, high quality arts programs and rigorous academic study through arts integration.
Arts Goals
- Identify and expand access to quality arts programs with necessary and appropriate resources.
- Re-establish and maintain understanding of an interdisciplinary arts-integrated approach in all content areas.
- Establish and maintain a versatile approach in all disciplines by fully integrating the arts into the school wide curriculum.
- Partner with community artists, organizations and stakeholders to provide opportunities that engage and enrich student learning in the arts which transcends from the regular classroom.
