Mission & Vision
The mission of Kelly Miller Elementary School’s Visual and Performing Arts Program is to reveal a passion for learning, accommodate differences, teach appreciation, and stimulate creativity and imagination in, and through a standards based arts infused curriculum.
Arts Goals
- To develop a quality, sequential, comprehensive arts program.
- To provide state-of-the-art materials, supplies, equipment, and facilities to meet the “Opportunities-to-Learn-Standards” (OTLS)
- To provide and implement quality community-building & professional development opportunities in the arts.
Points of Pride
- In addition to being a recipient of the ABC Advancement Grant, there is a creative outlet in the arts for 100% of our students regardless of age or ability.
- We operate on a unique schedule that allows all students flexibility in a STEAM centered learning environment.
- Our parents and community stakeholders are engaged through a plethora of artist-in-residencies, performances and hands-on engagements.
