Doing the (Art)Work: Building an Anti-Racist Curriculum
July 30th at 3pm EDT
Now more than ever teachers are being confronted with the realities of racism in our own country and are asking difficult questions about how to tackle these attitudes in their classrooms, from the very earliest ages. As art educators, we know how powerful and lasting the impact of images can be. In recognition that it is not enough simply to have a multicultural or tolerant classroom, but an actively anti-racist one, the CMA has pulled together a panel of experts and educators with years of experience doing this work who can tackle the difficult question of what anti-racism work looks like in the classroom, at any level.
