Hope and Engagement: Learning From the Past to Inform Present and Future Classrooms (recording)

Thanks to our participation in the Gallup survey, however, we have learned that building hope and engagement is critical to arts education. Survive or Strive; Prevailing Reflections of the Past Year
Every aspect of life, including education has been profoundly affected by the events of 2020. The pandemic impacted the financial stability of our institutions, disrupted and altered instruction, and brought to light the inequities of access that continue to exist. The Black Lives Matter movement brought to light the systematic biases that our students of color continue to overcome. Finally, the lingering and long-term challenges of social distancing and hybrid/virtual instruction to arts education programs.
